Before the Holidays, Assistant Director of Brand Marketing, Lindsay Cubbage sat down and interviewed Sarah in her home studio during the height of the holiday production at theJoyfulclay.✨

Sarah gave us insight on everything from what it's like to be a business owner entering into our MBAD Program, what her full-fledged production process looks like, and what it means to her to be a part of the MICA Community! Did you know that Sarah also participated in our very our PreCollege program in 1997? 💥

How has the MBAD program helped you and what did you gain most from it? "It really, really helped me focus on where I want my business to go. It also gave me the language and confidence I needed to be more knowledgeable in the business I'm in. And to me that's like, invaluable, right? Because now I'd be able to speak to anyone about my business plan."

How do you define success? And any advice you could give to others to become successful? "I find that I can always be successful within my own personal craft because it will always just be the way I express myself. But to have a successful business, you have to have in addition to success, a connection with your customer base too."
