The woman everyone calls Yaya recently turned 105. 🎁🥳 Tampa’s Idelisa Oliviera — who also goes by mamá, hermana, tía and bisabuela — was surrounded at home by loved ones, homemade Cuban food, cake and presents.⁠⁠

Born on Aug. 15, 1916, in Oriente Province, Cuba, Yaya was the seventh of 15 children. Her mother lived to be 92, a sister to 99 and another sister to 103. Now, only one sister, 97, is alive.⁠⁠

We, of course, had to ask Yaya her secret to a long, happy life. Her reply: “Don’t smoke, don’t drink liquor.”⁠⁠

“And have a good daughter,” added her only child from the kitchen.⁠⁠
