The recent 45th Jane and Finch Classic (janefinchclassic), held at the Durham Playground Global in Oshawa, ON, showcased the tremendous Canadian talent at the middle school and high school prep levels.

This past Sunday (August 13), class of 2027 guard Kymani Walters (kymaniii._) of Canada Elite (canada_elite) showcased his defensive ability in the 15u championship game vs Arizona Unity. In this clip, Walters guards Rokiem Green of AZ Unity full court and forces a miss. Despite playing a busy schedule over the last few weeks (15u Canadian nationals and Jane & Finch classic), Walters gave everything he had despite being exhausted.

Side notes: Green and Walters were teammates last season at Inspire Academy in Vaughan, ON and earlier this spring with the 15u Canada Elite UAA/CYBL AAU team. Both players were named as all-stars in the 15u division at this year’s Jane and Finch Classic. Walters had 35 points vs the same AZ Unity team two days prior (August 11) in pool play action.
