Footage of Dodger Stadium went viral on Aug 20, after it appeared to be flooded in the wake of Tropical Storm Hilary.

However, while the area around the stadium did receive heavy rainfall, the clip itself is mostly an optical illusion. Instead, 'reflective wet asphalt made Dodger Stadium look as if it was flooded and encircled by a moat,' writes Storyful.

The illusion hasn't stopped phrases like 'Lake Dodger Stadium' from spreading across social media in the past 48 hours.
