## Caption

The @capitals welcomed nearly 50 participants across television, web, print and radio to #CapsMediaCamp today. Participants received a glimpse of what it takes to be a Capitals player through on and off-ice sessions throughout the afternoon. The day concluded with a media game with special guest coaches @craig_laughlin18 of @monsportsnet and Ken Sabourin of Caps Radio. 
 
Following a welcome by Capitals head coach Spencer Carbery, #CapsMediaCamp participants heard from Assistant General Manager Don Fishman. Video Coach Brett Leonhardt presented on his role prior to strength & conditioning coach Zack Leddon leading media through a warmup routine.
 
The @capsyouthhockey development staff welcomed #CapsMediaCamp participants to the ice and led them in stations on shooting, stickhandling and more. Capitals players Alexander Alexeyev, Joe Snively and Alex Limoges joined in at the stations and helped prepare for the day’s concluding Media Game.
 
The #CapsMediaCamp on-ice stations were developed by @capsyouthhockey, which works to grow the game in the region through a robust lineup of programming. Nearly 19,000 children have participated in a Caps Youth Hockey initiative since 2019. The department also offers programming for adults. Learn more at CapsYouthHockey.com.
 
Team Red coached by Craig Laughlin – the defending #CapsMediaCamp champions – faced off against Team White, coached by Ken Sabourin. Following Team Red’s 5-3 victory, #CapsMediaCamp concluded. Thank you to all participants for spending the afternoon with the Capitals!
