Mercenary leader Yevgeny Prigozhin, who led a rebellion against the Russian military earlier this year, was aboard a plane that crashed Wednesday, killing all 10 people on board, according to Russia’s civil aviation agency. Retired Lt. General Richard Newton said he’s “surprised he (Prigozhin) was able to survive” until now and that the crash “reasserts Putin’s power.”
