There was a surprise marriage proposal at the World Athletics Championships as Dominik Černý dropped to one knee and produced a ring for Hana Burzalova as she crossed the finish line at the end of her 35km race walk. Burzalova said yes to Černý -- who had finished just moments before -- as the newly-engaged couple shared a kiss to mark the moment before he whisked his fiancée away in his arms.⁠
