It’s easy to assume when someone is wearing a pair of ‘hype’ sneakers that they are trying to flex or impress other people. Don’t assume.

Wear what you like and do it for you. It’s a little vain to wear a pair of sneakers to impress other people. I have always been of the mindset to not to seek approval from others to feel good about myself. 

That being said. Here’s a story: Back when the Purple Lobsters released, I was lucky enough to hit on SNKRS (which never happens anymore). Once I got them in, I had them in the box for about a month, and my family had some financial needs come up so I had to sell them. I let them go for under $300. 🤦‍♂️ 

Last year I was in a position to be able to get them back, but also had the funds to choose between the purple or green pair. I obviously chose the green pair, and am very happy to have them, which fills the void left by getting rid of the purple pair years ago. 

Again, I didn’t get them to impress anyone, but was able to get them for me. Wear and collect for you, no one else ✌️ ⁣
