## Caption

🎤 🎤 🎤 🎤 🎤 Growing up my Uncle Tony would randomly repeat the mantra: don’t push me cuz I’m close to the edge…I remember my brother playing Kurtis Blow’s Basetball over and over. I remember asking my cousin Tara for the Rob Base tape for Christmas and the first time I heard the effortless flows of MC Lyte. I remember learning to do the Humpty Dance with my cousins and asking my cousin to hide the Snoop Dogg cd in my mom’s planter, so I could take it with me on a ski trip. There’s not a life event I’ve had that I can’t correlate to a rap lyric. Hip hop was a central part of my upbringing. I am who I am because of hip hop…I love you. ✊🏾💞 #hiphop #anniversary #hiphopmusic
