This iconic painting is “The Scream” was created by Edvard Much in 1893.

- The artist painted this because while he was left alone in the woods by his friends (the people in the background) he heard a loud scream he could never explain. This is very much an anxiety piece, which is why the style is very ghoulish and unpronounced 

- This painting was once the most expensive painting ever auctioned off at $120,000,00 dollars!! 

- Since it was created, it’s been stolen multiple times in art heists!! Every time, the thefts got caught 👊🏼
