Last week, our team was in Los Angeles working on an exciting project and got to sit down with beauty entrepreneur and Oklahoma native Nyakio Grieco. 

Grieco is the co-founder of the first-of-its-kind beauty brand Thirteen Lune, a University of Oklahoma Price College of Business graduate, and has received accolades from the likes of Business Wire, Harper’s Bazaar, InStyle Magazine, and CBS Mornings among others. 

Thirteen Lune is described as, “an e-commerce destination designed to inspire the discovery of beauty brands created by Black and Brown founders that resonate with people of all colors.” The company abides by its own 90/10 rule which Nyakio explains, “Ninety percent of the brands carried at Thirteen Lune will always be created by Black and Brown founders who create products for people of all colors. Ten percent of our brands are dedicated to fostering allyship.” With a new partnership with JCPenney, Thirteen Lune will be bringing its products to more than 600 stores nationwide.

Our team was inspired by our time with Nyakio, and we are proud to see a fellow Oklahoman thriving at such an exceptional scale!
