“By sharing his story, Brown is hoping to inspire other gay volleyball players and coaches who may feel uneasy about coming out. Looking back, it’s the best decision he’s ever made.” 💜 #OwnTheCity

Featured in @outsports, #4 @nyuwomensvolley’s @abrownvball speaks on the community he has built in the volleyball world as the “gay coach.”

The head coach led @nyuniversity to its first Final Four since 2004. Since being hired five years ago, Brown’s teams have made the playoffs every year while boasting a .764 winning percentage along the way — including a 28-2 record and the program’s first-ever UAA Championship in 2021.

“Brown, who also recently completed his masters in sports business @nyutischsport, feels like he’s found his home.

‘It’s a dream job, and it’s just an amazing place to develop who you are,’ he said.

His only regret is that he didn’t [come out] sooner.”
