Parishioners with a painting of Our Lady of Guadalupe walk down the aisle at St. Paul Cathedral for the celebration of Our Lady of Guadalupe's Mass on Tuesday in Oakland. Led by Bishop David A. Zubik, the annual Mass for the Feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe was held in both Spanish and English and featured a mariachi band and community gathering at the end. Parishes from South Oakland, Butler, Beechview, Plum, and Meadow Lands all contributed to the procession. In the Catholic tradition, the legacy of Our Lady of Guadalupe is one of protection, support, and help.
