An eastern screech owl rests on the gloved hand of National Aviary employee Christa Gaus on Wednesday at the North Side facility. The aviary's "Extraordinary Owls" event highlights several different types of owls and runs until Spring 2018. The aviary has planned several events, including daily owl talks and "Owl Prowls," guided after-dark walks in local parks to look and listen for owls.
