Pirates pitcher Jameson Taillon greets Steelers running back James Conner during batting practice Tuesday at PNC Park. Conner, the former Pitt running back who overcame Hodgkin’s lymphoma last year, got a chance to interact with Taillon, who is rehabbing after surgery to treat testicular cancer. The Steelers rookies were all in attendance, where first-round pick T.J. Watt threw out the first pitch and Conner was the catcher.
