Maj. Eric Gass, Unit 316ESC, lets Community Day School students feel his gloves at Salute to Our Veterans, an annual event where Community Day School youth, teachers, parents and Adath Jeshurun Cemetery board members gather to respectfully discard old American flags and replace them with new ones at the graves of veterans at Adath Jeshurun Cemetery on Tuesday in Allison Park. Maj. Gass and another man from the Army Honor Guard taught the students how to properly fold a flag, how to salute, and quizzed them about how democracy works.
