Michael Serago of Jeannette, a member of the 82nd Airborne Division in World War II, reads the inscription on a monument dedicated to Leonard A. Funk Jr. during a remembrance day celebration in Braddock Hills on Saturday. Mr. Funk, who was a first sergeant, is the most decorated paratrooper in the 82nd Airborne Division in World War II. His medals include: Medal of Honor, Distinguished Service Cross, Silver Star, Bronze Star, and Purple Heart with 2 Oak leaf Clusters. He has been inducted into the Hall of Valor at Soldiers & Sailors Memorial Hall in Oakland.
