California reported 7,149 new confirmed coronavirus cases Tuesday, shattering its single-day record. With the 69% statewide increase, #santaclaracounty reported the highest number of cases in the past two months. 
While the increase could be a reflection of increased testing, experts warn this is not the sole cause of the spike.
