In April, Gov. Gavin Newsom announced California would offer $500 to undocumented adults who’ve lost money because of COVID-19. Time to apply to the program is winding down, as applications for California’s Disaster Relief Assistance for Immigrants (DRAI) must be completed by June 30th.⁣⁣⁣⁣
⁣⁣⁣⁣
The effort is a way to help those who do not qualify for federal relief, including essential workers. California expects to help approximately 150,000 undocumented adults through the $75 million program. ⁣⁣⁣⁣
