Brother, I was 18 years old, and your murder was the first-hand experience my grandmother had always told me about. She used to tell me as a Black man I have to aware of my surroundings and be careful of the law. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I have been harassed by the police and thought it was just something they did to Black and Brown males routinely. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Your murder has helped open my eyes and realize it is possible I too could be murdered by law officials and no type of punishment—nothing could ever replace a life—accommodation, or justice. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
