Follow #doresatwork on Feb. 25,  when Alexis Cook, BS’18, takes over our Instagram stories to share her day as co-founder and co-president at Unlocked (@becomeunlocked) in Nashville. She will respond to questions all day so follow and join in the conversation!

Alexis Cook, BS’18, is one of two co-founders and co-presidents of Unlocked, a sustainable jewelry brand that employs and empowers women transitioning out of homelessness. (Her co-founder is Corbin Hooker, BA’18.) As co-president of Unlocked, Alexis is primarily responsible for HR, sales, nonprofit partnerships, and growth and strategy. 
Alexis was an Ingram Scholar at Vanderbilt University (@vanderbiltu), where she graduated in 2018 with a major in Human and Organizational Development (@vupeabody)  and a minor in Economics. Prior to Vanderbilt, Alexis spent a year working at five different non-profit internships in five different countries, learning more about poverty through the eyes of those experiencing it. She is focused on using her leadership to elevate the voices of marginalized people, creating pathways for sustainable change.
