The role of transporting cargo to the most remote and extreme location on planet Earth is not for the faint hearted.

Overseeing the successful execution of our Antarctic logistics operations is Andre Conradie. 

‘Military precision’ style planning comes into play a full year ahead of the actual cargo making landfall on the continent. This lengthy operation involves a carefully choreographed interplay of permitting approvals, logistical preparations and collaboration with the crew of the S.A. Agulhas II.

“On average we send in over 100 tonnes of cargo via air freight each season and extract all of the waste via sea vessel. I have many years of remote site experience having been based at various remote locations in the Middle East, so when the opportunity arose to be part of the White Desert team there was no hesitation to come onboard."
