So Maverik just sent us the unreleased Optik 2 so let's take a quick look at it. 

Maverik States the Optik 2.0 is designed for the elite attackman who initiates the offense. With a tighter face shape and tension lock, this head will improve your accuracy control and velocity. 

First impressions, the face shape is very reminiscent of the Kinetik just wider at the base with a softer flair.

The aesthetic of the head is amazing, really sharp lines which equate to a super aggressive overall look

This is supposed to be Maverik’s lightest head within the current generation, I don’t have an exact number but it does feel really light.

Stiffness wise its similar to the original, it does have the updated duratough plastic which is nice. When we do our 6 month use review on this head, we can discuss durability a bit further

Stepping into stringing, industry standard 6 top string holes and 4 bottom string holes. All of which will be big enough for leathers, 17 sidewall holes that go all the way down which is important because this head is designed to be used with a low pocket. 

I have mine strung with a piece of LE Hero 2 in the 2017 BCA colorway. 

For the pocket it's a defined mid low with a somewhat soft channel, 2 straights and a stacked nylon pulled down tightly to give a lot of snap for quick feeds and shots. 

Optik 2 will come in 4 colors, hyperlight blue, white, black, and gray, also the head drops Oct. 1st
