String King 4S Review

4S is String Kings 4th iteration on a softer high performance mesh, overall it's nice to string, has an interesting feel on the ball and it performs just as well as the other meshes in String Kings Lineup

Feel and hold - String King 4S is easily one of the softest meshes I’ve strung up or used. Softer than Hero 2.0 and String King 3S by a good bit. You get lots of ball similar to a traditional pocket and the ball is definitely going to clack against the side walls when your cradling.

String up - 4S strings up very easy, I threw my piece into this Nike Lakota 2, relatively defined mid pocket with pretty low whip.

Break in - Because the mesh is so soft out of the gate, there is practically no break in. String it up, use it in a set of line drills or 3 minutes on the wall and everything should be set.

Durability - I've had this head strung with 4S for a little while now. Since the mesh is so soft i’d recommend using a shooting string for the bottom string so you don’t have to worry about abrasion or possible tearing.

Performance wise the mesh is excellent, as long as you string it well you shouldn’t have any issues. I found the mesh to be very consistent with passing and shooting similar to that of the String King type 3S

Value - Overall, i’d absolutely recommend String King 4S. It’s Great for face off guys, new players, and those that like a really soft feeling pocket.
