Penn State lost incredible leaders from their Rose Bowl-winning team.

Sean Clifford, Ji’Ayir Brown, PJ Mustipher.

Guys that were captains and starters for multiple years.

So who are the leaders that will step up this year?

A lot of the players I interviewed said Theo Johnson.

Here is what Theo said about becoming a leader this year.

“We had a meeting right there (Coach Franklin’s office) and Coach Franklin said this is the area we need to improve in, we’re losing career leaders.”

That’s where the star TE comes in.

“That was an area there’s a little void there and I’ve always personally felt like that’s something I’ve had that within me, I have a gift that was given, leadership.”
