When people ask where the best city is to solo travel, I always recommend Oaxaca, Mexico 🇲🇽

It has been a favorite travel destination for so many reasons — the hospitality, friendliness, the food, and accessibility. The city is not too big and not too small, and you can easily walk around the entire city on foot. You have a variety of food options since it’s the food capital of Mexico, and the origination of Mezcal. It’s such a safe solo travel friendly city, and you’ll also find a ton of expats there too!

I can go on and on about how I second travelandleisure’s choice — this is one of the cities where I can visit over and over again and not get sick of it.
