Today is the LAST day to see Manhattanhenge in NYC this Summer! 🌇☀️ It’s one of the most exciting times for photographers since the sun sets perfectly between the city’s grid.

🌇 When is the best time to see Manhattanhenge 2023?
July 12 - 13 BUT if you missed it this year, you can catch it again November 29 & January 11

🌇 Where is the best place to see Manhattanhenge?
There are a couple of spots to capture this phenomena, but the most popular spot is at Tudor City Bridge (between 1st and 2nd ave)

🌇 What time is Manhattanhenge?
This year, it’s between 8:21pm - 8:20pm

🌇 What time should you get there?
When I say that every photographer in NYC (and many out of state) comes to capture this phenomena, I might be saying this lightly. NYC is packed as it is so your best bet is to come at least 2 hours before. As I’m writing this, tripods are probably already at the site but just come as early as you can to secure a spot.

📸 What camera gear do you need to capture Manhattanhenge?
If you’re planning on capturing this at Tudor City Bridge, you’re going to be all the way on the east facing west, so you’ll definitely need a zoom lens. I shot this on my tamronglobal f/2-2.8 35-150mm

It gets a bit crazy that the streets were even blocked out! So just remember to get there early, secure your spot (if you can 😅), and enjoy capturing Manhattanhenge! Even if you’re not photographing this, witnessing it as it is is surreal in itself ✨
