MEET THE E-BOARD: JOEY O’DONOGHUE - BROADCAST MANAGER

Over the next few weeks, we’ll be introducing you to the executive board of the Quinnipiac Bobcats Sports Network. You’ll get to know who they are inside and outside of the organization before you get to meet them on campus in the fall! 

For the first of our final three posts in this series, meet one-half of our team of broadcast managers, Joey O’Donoghue. Our broadcast managers are responsible for training new members in the art of broadcasting, assembling our game sheet assignments, and being on-hand on game day to lend a hand.

Year: Senior
Major: Media Studies
Minor: Italian

Favorite QBSN Memory: My favorite QBSN-related memory thus far has to be the trip I took to upstate New York to cover Quinnipiac in the 2021 MAAC Volleyball playoffs with a group of friends from QBSN. It’s so much fun traveling with friends, and I got to commentate playoff volleyball. The arena was massive, and the intensity of the playoff atmosphere was incredible. 

Fun Fact: I love to travel and have visited ten different countries! I’m also currently interning with NBC Sports.

Advice for New Students: Sign up to cover all kinds of different sports!! I can’t stress enough how beneficial this is. Knowing multiple different sports can help you land opportunities in QBSN and open up career opportunities. Because I tried commentating volleyball for the first time, I earned a spot on the playoffs trip that is now my favorite memory of QBSN!
