## Caption

“There’s a disconnect between this rosy image of France and the reality of a country in turmoil.” —Ladj Ly on his feature film, LES MISÉRABLES (#TIFF19)

Academy Award–nominated director Ly returns to #TIFF23 with the World Premiere of LES INDÉSIRABLES, a razor-sharp sophomore feature that dives into the realities of racist policies in modern-day France that force the poor into unsafe and inadequate living conditions.

Tickets for this film and more #TIFF23 screenings are now on sale. Visit the link in our bio for more details.
