## Caption

When I spent the day with @uw_football I asked everyone the same question…

What is @themp9 really like?

Most of the answers I heard included the word “authentic.”

So I asked him where that comes from?

“Just being myself, I don’t really try to be anybody else and I really don’t ride that hype train.”

“I just focus on what I can do to get better and help my team get better.”

Penix also gives a lot of credit to his parents and how they raised him.

“I always have parents that help me understand, it’s not always about me, things are bigger than me so I do it for a bigger purpose.”
