#WhyIRelayWednesday 🎗️💜

I Relay for my aunt, Lisa, who we lost to breast cancer in November of 2009. While I was young when she was fighting cancer, seeing how she chose to handle her battle is something I’ll always admire most about my aunt. She was one of the most loving, selfless people I’ve ever known, and even while battling this disease she always remained optimistic. Despite everything she was going through, Lisa’s top priorities were always being there for her loved ones, creating memories with her family, and doing anything she could to ensure no one else would have this same battle. Relay for Life has meant so much to my family ever since my aunt first brought us to the event, and it means a lot to me that I’ve been able to continue it here at Tech with such a great group of people. I Relay for my aunt and anyone else who has been affected by cancer in any way. And I Relay to one day eradicate cancer so no family will have to live in fear.
