ICYMI, women in sports are shattering records. 

US OPEN - Coco Gauff and her final match brought 3.4 million viewers, which was 1.1 million more viewers then Novak Djokovic’s winning match. Overall, the U.S. Open broke the Grand Slam attendance record with 957,387 attendees over the course of three weeks.

WISCONSIN VB - University of Wisconsin volleyball played Marquette, making it the highest-attended volleyball game ever in the state of Wisconsin, and breaking the record for highest attendance in NCAA indoor volleyball during the regular season. Needless to say, they won the match 3-1. two of their players broke records as well: Izzy Ashburn is the ace queen, now with a career high of 167 aces, setting the bar high with this new record. And Sarah Franklin with her 1000th career kill. These ladies are on fire. 

NEBRASKA VB - As we know just a few weeks ago, Nebraska volleyball broke the WORLD record for attendance in women’s sports with over 92k people on what they called “Volleyball Day in Nebraska.” 

WNBA - The viewership for professional women’s basketball is at the highest it’s been in 17 years. Viewership has increased 18% more than last season, and all sorts of records for specific teams and networks are increasing and growing. 

NWSL- The league officially surpassed one million fans for the 2023 season on Friday night, setting a new record of overall league attendance.
