Meet Yuma, greenpeacejp intern, whose journey from outside of Tokyo to the office spans 3 hours one way! As a student, she's fortunate to snag a public transport discount. Yuma also takes her role seriously in reducing carbon emissions by using trains.

However, Yuma still has to rely on her mother for a car ride from her home to the train station due to the lack of public transport options. Many rural communities face these challenges as populations decline, resulting in missing links to connect them to major transport hubs

This #MobilityWeek2023, we are putting the spotlight on commuters like Yuma from all corners of the globe, also highlighting why affordable and accessible public transport is crucial for social and #ClimateJustice.
