#usafa2026 made history by selecting Medal of Honor recipient Master Sergeant John Chapman, as #youracademy‘s 𝐅𝚰𝐑𝐒𝐓 enlisted Exemplar.

The cadets hosted a special dinner for Chapman's family and special tactics members from the 24th Special Operations Wing. 

Chapman was killed while protecting his teammates in Afghanistan in 2002, and his heroics were eventually recognized with the Medal of Honor 16 years later.
