Day 50. This is 50. 🥂

There’s so much on my heart to write. So much gratitude. So much joy. So much contentment. And I feel like if I start down that path right now … my Norwegian stoicism will crack, the tears will break the dam, and I’ll show up for surgery tomorrow with swollen eyes. Sooo…I’ll write about that later.

A day spent in isolation because surgery to remove the juicy lump and my thyroid is tomorrow, was not the plan. You know I’ve been bitter about it, because I’ve bitched about it. #dramatic I know. 

And while I was bummed, I set an intention to remain open to all the day could bring. What a gift. The solitude was beautiful actually. In the spaces between my thoughts I felt such peace, a welcoming of joy, overcome with gratitude in my reflections. 

I feel so loved. I feel so blessed with another day to take a sweet breath and inhale such goodness. 

Thank you to all of you for such incredible love. For the prayers and support.

Tomorrow we say goodbye to the juicy lump, and hopefully goodbye to cancer. That mother f*cker. What a dick.

Setting down my phone, heading off to take the first of two antiseptic showers (hawt)- and off to bed. The 4am alarm will be here before I know it. 

And then it’s time to row. Off to the U for my 5:30am check in. Caring bridge updates will be provide by my dear friend Kari (link in profile - which I can’t type without giggling, that statement is usually reserved for some kind of code for 10% off from your favorite influencer).
