This is 49. A little more tired. A little more achy. But a lot more wise, compassionate, grateful, joyful, and blessed.🤍 It was a beautiful day. And I am so grateful. 

Am I where I imagined I’d be at this age, when I was younger? No. But that’s not a bad thing. I couldn’t have imagined the blessings along this road, nor the setbacks. But I also thought 49 was ancient, and maybe even worthless. What could one do or have at the old age of 49?

Well…surprise, young Heather. One could:
✨Go back to school
✨Reinvent one’s career
✨Be soulfully in love with a true partner
✨Feel immense gratitude for the independence and heart of one’s kid
✨Have indelible friendships that fill your heart
✨Appreciate health and early bedtimes
✨Feel strong - inside & out
✨Be willing to take care of herself first
✨Understand growth is never ending, as is learning, and isn’t that grand!?
✨Have compassionate world views based on leading with love, recognizing humanity, and the reality that we’re all connected
✨Have season tickets to your alma mater - @gopherfootball, with great friends, and ready for more great memories
✨Have experienced a global pandemic and witnessed incredible beauty in humanity, but also see the dire need for more
✨Experience love in boundless ways which touch the depths of one’s soul, reminding you what’s most important: love always wins. ❤️
