this. This. THIS. For so long, when someone didn’t love me the way I loved them, I thought it was because I wasn’t good enough. That my love was a wrong kind of love. Too big. Too bold. Too much. I owned it. I held it. I carried it. Even when it wasn’t mine to carry. And it was heavy. So heavy.
I AM DONE WITH THAT.
It doesn’t mean it doesn’t hurt. It doesn’t mean my confidence won’t be shaken. But I’ll no longer hold on endlessly to that which doesn’t belong to me, their pain. I’ll continue to love. But sometimes, it may need to be done from afar. With boundaries. And that’s okay. Because if you don’t take care of yourself and your own heart, who will?
Know this beauties, just because someone rejects or dismisses you, it doesn’t mean you’re not worth choosing. You and your love are beautiful. Know that.
