Sunday views. Rest. Reflection. Rejuvenation. 
In the quiet depths of soul searching.
.
There's a lot of "get shit done" that has to happen. But there's also a dire need to disconnect externally to connect internally.
.
So many demands and expectations during a week. Being pulled in many directions. Needs that must be met. Responsibilities that must be attended to.
.
But Sundays. Sundays I try to set aside some time in the quest for just me. And my heart. To re-center myself.
.
As an empath, in addition to my own emotions, I feel the feels of those close to me. It's a beautiful thing. But it also takes a lot out of me and can leave me feeling raw. As if every nerve ending is exposed. Everything becomes magnified. .
When the sounds of my phone ringing or text notifications cause me to have immediate negative feelings, I know it's a warning sign. It's time to unplug for a bit and remove myself into solitude.
.
And so, I lie on my bed, looking out these windows, watching the leaves dance in the wind. I focus on my breath and the beating of my heart. For as long as I can. Until it doesn't feel like my blood is racing or my thoughts endlessly swirling.
.
You and your soul are not without need for this too. It isn't always easy to find the time for this. Which is why you must make it. You, beautiful one, must make yourself and your soul a priority. Make time to reconnect with your heart. And listen to what it has to say. There are so many answers in the quiet.

Go find them. Go find you. You are worthy.
And if you need me? You'll have to wait. I'm taking care of me now. .
