No mud. No lotus. 
A lotus flower begins its journey climbing and growing from muddy, murky waters. It reaches to the surface of the water blooming beautifully above it.

In the evening, the petals close into themselves and it lowers back into the murky waters for the night. In the dawn of a new day, seeking the sunlight, it rises and blooms yet again. 
Such is our truth. We grow and rise from the murky waters, reaching and seeking the sunlight to bloom into our own beauty and greatness. 
We close and rest during our darkness, knowing we have another opportunity to grow. To bloom. 
Are you in a season of darkness? Hold on dear ones. Rest. Pray. Sit in silence. Honor yourself. You are growing. You are rising. Even in that darkness. You are making your way to the light. I promise you. 
You'll open yourself up, turn your face to the sunshine, and bloom again. Stronger and more beautiful than ever.
