Do not let the way others treat you, measure your worth. Their inability to show up for you, as you've shown up for them, is not a measure of your heart, but of theirs. Do not let their inability to make you a priority, make you feel you're not worth being a priority. Do not let their bad choices become your bad habits.

Really, it's somewhat simple. We will meet many people in our lives, who are not ready for our love. It doesn't mean we shouldn't love them. It simply means, we shouldn't love them, more than we love ourselves. Don't let someone else's inability to love you, keep you from being loved again. 
You are a beautiful and gorgeous soul. Yes. YOU. Love yourself first. Always. Loving others will inevitably leave marks on your heart. Some of them will scar you. But they will make you stronger. It could be easy to let these experiences harden your heart. Instead, let them make you kinder and more compassionate.
