Dear Football, 

There is no way that I could truly express my gratitude for memories, experiences, and opportunities that you have blessed me with. I am the man that I am today because of you. Through all of the frustration, joy, and passion that we have shared together, my gratitude runs deeper than imaginable.

I’m saddened to bring this chapter of life to a close, but could not be more excited for what the future holds. I want to extend my thanks and my appreciation for all of those who have contributed to my football experiences — family, coaches, teammates, staff, etc.. this game has brought me extensive lush and lessons and I am blessed to have been able to experience every last moment and to have associated with every individual along the way.

That said, it’s time to close this chapter of my life.
