Context: The NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour, NASCAR's oldest division, visited the historic North Wilkesboro Speedway for the FIRST time in NASCAR’s 75-year history on Saturday. But, it would also be the last time a race would be held on the 40-plus-year-old surface. The asphalt surface will be repaved prior to the 2024 NASCAR All-Star Race weekend.
