Oregon State athletic director Scott Barnes said he won’t pursue the vacant AD opening at Washington, telling his staff Monday morning that he’s staying in Corvallis.

Barnes told The Oregonian/OregonLive that he was contacted about the Washington job, and had a conversation, but decided not to pursue the opening.

Barnes said he sent an email to the athletic department staff and coaches because “there was some speculation that I wanted to nip in the bud.”
