Here is a short clip from yesterdays ride.
The idea was to count the strides and really work on even the same shape circles and corners.

Until now, I ride 90% by feel and gut instinct.
So always trying to improve and add skills.

Here is what I found
-counting the inside hindleg is more challenging than I thought.
- for me, it is the outside hind leg I pay more attention to
- I find it carries the horse's body mass and needs to be placed under the body

So yes, placing the outside hindleg resetting the balance with half halts, when needed. And engaging the inside hindleg for forward or upwards push is just as important.

I added a new tool. They both equally important and need to work together.

Second I noticed the horse really needed to lengthen the topline and her frame.
She was really tight, especially on her right hind.
Attempt turn on the forehand in motion
highlighted it.

And all counting attempts went out of the window.
Instead, I worked on softening her frame.
1/2 10meterish circles out of the corner, shallow half passes to the long side change rein repeat about three times.
Go straight check if it feels better.
Thank you @Sara Wright for your beautiful horse 🦄
And @Susan Foy for filming
