Great explanation on the effects of a wrong gullet width on the whole fit of the saddle. 🤓
A horse can change gullet width quite quickly, while he is still growing (until 6 or 7 years old), or when developping his musculature (increased work or change in work routine) for example. 🦄
Remember to get the fit of your saddle checked every time your horse changes shape! 🧐
Feeling like your balance point has changed when sitting in the saddle, and that you're now being tilted forward or backwards, is also a good indication that the fit of your saddle should be checked. 🐎
