The moment you stop blaming everything that is out of your control and start taking control of what IS in your control, that is where the magic happens. 
And I know this from personal experience because I lived that life for years and years. I was too busy for, everything. I missed out on stuff. I wasn't present in any moment, for anyone, including myself. I'll never get that time back either.

How did I get myself out of that and into a situation where I have an amazing work/life balance? 
I had to change some stuff. Some big, terrifying, really hard changes. I had to stop being the victim and letting my businesses control my life. For me, this meant selling my reliably earning, well known, award winning business that I knew everything about inside out, and just focusing on the newer, early stages, consulting business that I just wasn't confident with at the time. 
For you, it will mean something else entirely. But there is always a solution to you feeling like you never have time for anything. 
Unless you are a 24 hour emergency vet, there are very little client emergencies that can't wait 24 hours for a reply, or until Monday, or whatever. And if you are in that situation of clients messaging you 3 hours later saying 'why haven't you replied yet' the problem is you need to find more reasonable clients, or finding a better way to get information to people to reduce urgent queries. 
Don't spend years missing out on family, horses, and friends and feeling trapped. 
Your business can work and you can still have a life. You just got to be smart about it!
