PROGRESS REPORT ON SDFT INJURY - 6 WEEKS CHECK UP.

We recently performed a check up scan on a clients beautiful horse ‘Flozizca’, an imported Danish Warmblood dressage horse, and we are extremely pleased with her progress.

Flozizca was sent to us immediately after the discovery of her injury, for our advanced rehabilitation program.
She had a 32% core lesion in her offside front SDFT and desmitis of the SDFT on her near side front and a bad case of greasy heel.

At 6 weeks the core lesion is already in a complete cellular phase, and the hole is no longer there, the greasy heel has gone as well.

We used the Cold Salt Water treadmill as a spa, soaking her legs in a rich Epsom salt Mix (imported from Europe) water at 4 degrees, twice a day, applied intensive cryotherapy twice daily for a week, massage, hand walking 2-3 times a day, bandaging, equissage treatments and weekly body work treatments by the lovely Fusion Equine and a specialised diet by Dr Caroline Foote and Jordan Watson of Equine Consulting Services.

At week two we injected the core lesion with PrP thanks to Dr Trent Jorgensenen, and already noted a significant reduction in the size of the lesion after 10 days of InstantCryo treatments - this technology creates Thermic Shock to rapidly increase the bodies healing responses and focus them to a specific location, sending rich blood to repair the damage and advance the healing into a cellular phase where the fibres can start aligning and closing the hole, and to strengthen the tendon. InstantCryo achieves a significant reduction in swelling and heat through the -75 degree C02 and 50psi pressure also providing an instant analgesic effect. Treatments last between 30-60 seconds depending on injury and location.

Please contact Ali Foye 0438650990 to discus how we can help your horse or for more information on either the ECB InstantCryo or the ECB Equine Water Treadmill.
