In today’s installment of Masked and Answered, Alisha Saluja, an HOD major from Long Island, NY, shares how her VUCeptor and other campus resources have provided crucial support throughout the pandemic:

“My VUCeptor was an amazing resource for me throughout the pandemic, especially last semester when we were still adjusting and all needed some extra support. He probably doesn’t even realize the impact he had on me, but there was one night last semester where I was feeling completely overwhelmed and I didn’t know what to do or who to turn to. So I texted my VUCeptor and he replied with great advice that changed my whole perspective on how to handle things. He was a great support system for me, and whenever I was stressed out or feeling sad, I was able to reach out and know that he would help. He probably doesn’t even know how much he helped me, but I even applied to be a VUCeptor because of him. He recommended the University Counseling Center to me, and I’ve grown to really love it there. I know a lot of people who go there, and I highly recommend it for anyone who needs a little extra support right now.” — Alisha Saluja, #VU2024
