73 years ago today, Jackie Robinson, a former four sports star at @ucla, stepped onto the field for the #BrooklynDodgers in the season opener against the Boston Braves. Robinson became the first Black man to play in a Major League #baseball game, breaking a color barrier that existed for 50 years. He would end the season as the National League’s #RookieoftheYear. •
