Players like Maya don’t come around very often in coaching careers. She is badass and glamorous all rolled into one. Also talkative. VERY talkative. But in an engaging and oftentimes hysterical way.

Playing time hasn’t always come easy for Maya , and when many others may have walked away, Maya forged on and worked harder, even in the midst of her cramming-for-MCATS-junior-year. 👊🏻

With all that on her plate she still finds a way to be the most incredible leader and teammate. Please remember her name because those of us who know her also know that the mere title of “Dr Haghighi” won’t be quite good enough for Maya. She aims to be one of the best the medical industry has ever seen. And we don’t doubt that for a second. Love you Maya 🫶🏼
